This past Thursday, our very own Lady Patriots golf team played in their first match of the season at Henderson Country Club. The match had originally been scheduled to take place earlier that week, but was then postponed due to rain. After it suddenly started to pour, the coaches almost decided to cancel the match once again, but once the rain cleared up, the players persevered through the mud and humidity.
Franklin Academy had a team of five competing in their first match: Cameron Lewis, Madison Harris, Abbey Thomas, Megan Saunders, and Carly Jarvis. The Lady Patriots placed 4th out of 5 teams, and for three of the five players who competed in the match, it was their first time playing golf in a match. Our own Carly Jarvis placed 4th overall in the match with a score of 57.
