In their first season of Track and Field, the FA team qualified 7 guys and 6 girls for the Regional meet held at Heide Trask this past Saturday, May 14. Boys team qualifiers were Aidan Robinson, Jonathan Wertz, Jeddy Waldon, Stephen Elliott, Myles Goodwine, Zach Bunner and Matthew Schweikert. The girls team was comprised of Hannah Zenker, Abby Dunn, Kianna Cook, Caitlyn Burkett, Karrington Garland and Anna Schulz.                Zach Bunner placed 4th in a tightly contested 800m race which qualifies him for the State meet. Karrington Garland ran personal best times in the 400 and 200m to double punch her ticket to the State meet. Teammate Abby Dunn shaved an impressive 2 seconds off her best time, finishing just shy of qualifying in the 400 but still contributing valuable points to the girls' team total. The FA girls earned an impressive 4th place (in a field of 15 schools) in part by winning regional titles in 4 events: the 4x800 relay, the 800m ( Anna Schulz) and the 1600 and 3200 (Caitlyn Burkett.)
